I wrote this book for the enterprise project – a major assignment that my teacher, Mr McCool, assigned in year six. When my classmates and I were deciding what we would do for our projects,I discovered that I’d done well at a poetry writing competition.
This led to Mr McCool suggesting I write a book of poems for my assignment. I wasn’t interested in the idea, as I wanted to do something cool:such as build a go-kart like some of my friends were doing. My mum and teacher’s encouragement, though, persuaded me to start writing poems.
My mum soon realised that I was able to write high-class poetry in ashort amount of time. I didn’t really believe her, and shrugged my shoulders. I continued to write more poems, though, inspired by the things around me, and soon was able to compose this very book.
